O WXP-CXX192-EL40D converte um fluxo de dados elétricos seriais de 10 Gb/s em sinal de saída óptica de 10 Gb/s e um Sinal de entrada óptico de 10 Gb/s para fluxos de dados elétricos seriais de 10 Gb/s. A interface elétrica de alta velocidade de 10 Gb/s é totalmente compatível com a especificação SFI. em links de até 40 km.
